Catching up - February

Christopher's friend Kaitlyn turned 5 and had her birthday party at a local skating rink.  Just walking into the skating rink made me feel like a kid again!  Christopher was sooooo excited to get out on the floor.  He realized very soon that skating takes some practice.  By the end of the party he was doing great for a first timer.  Andrew didn't like the skates and gladly stayed in the game room.

Our friends, Tod and Kathryn hosted a fun Valentines Day family dinner.  We were able to meet Tod's parents and we all had a blast.

Brian took Christopher to the Monster Jam on the 15th.  They rode the Lynx Blue Line( LYNX HOME ) uptown for some extra excitement.

Here's Christopher creating his own monster jam at home.

His favorite monster truck, Blue Thunder.

On the 16th we drove down to Sumter.  Brian's sister Adele had driven up from Tampa.  It was fun catching up and the boys, of course, had a wonderful time.  We were able to meet Gwyn for lunch too.  It's a good thing we ate at Red Bone Alley because unfortunately it closed shortly thereafter.  I must have forgotten my camera because I don't have any pictures from the fun weekend.

Brian was able to get out for a round of golf.  Andrew was making sure he had enough tees.

My attempt at taking a picture of the lunar eclipse.

Brian and I watched all the boys(three 5yr olds and three 2yr olds) so that Tod and Kathryn and Barry and Carrain could have some alone time.  It was a blast!
Here are the three sheriffs: Jacob, Arann and Christopher.  After I snapped the picture, Christopher told me they weren't suppose to smile because they were very serious.
Here's serious!

Brian built a tower around the boys.

A&B Bounce Houses in Tampa said...

I know this is really old, but I still found it actually looking for something else, but I had to comment ...your family is adorable and I LOVE skating, it just dawned on me that I haven't gone in years! However, if you are in Tampa still, it is so nice this time of year...if you need another party idea, if you have any little ones still (even up to the age of 15), renting a bounce house is A BLAST for the kids. I know someone who rents a bounce house EVERY HOLIDAY and EVERY company party, abbouncehouses, that makes it SO easy to keep the kids occupied as the adults deal with adult matters. =) If you want to see some pics, you can, rentabouncehouseinTampa. com and see how much fun it can be. Basically, the experience you are posting about with the smiles that will be cemented in history, that's the memory we're going for, the smiles that last a lifetime. I also once took all my kids to a candle making factory for a birthday party, they got to make candles and everything themselves, that was a real hit, but that wasn't in Tampa. Anyway, great job, skating is ALWAYS a blast! Rock on!
